A QR code for X, formerly Twitter, points to your profile link, x.com/yourhandle. Scanning it with any phone camera opens your profile in the X app, or in the browser if the app isn't installed. This page opens the editor with X already selected: type your handle (the @ is optional) or paste a full link to your profile or a post, style the code in classic black on white or your own colors, add your logo, and download a print-ready file. If you're looking for a Twitter QR code, this is the same thing.
- X preselected — just type your handle
- Opens your profile from any phone camera, not only inside the X app
- Black on white, your brand colors, your logo
- Print-ready PNG, SVG, JPEG or PDF — free, no watermark
- Editable and trackable: paste your profile link into the URL generator and make it dynamic (free account)
How to find your X handle and profile link
Open your profile in the X app or on x.com. Your handle is the name starting with @ under your display name, and your profile link is x.com/ followed by that handle. You can type the handle without the @, or use the share option on your profile (look for Share profile or Copy link) and paste the full link. Old twitter.com links still redirect to X, but a link starting with x.com is the cleanest to print. Your handle is not your display name, so check the one with the @.
X's own QR code vs a custom one
Some versions of the X app have offered a QR code for your profile, handy for showing someone your phone; availability depends on your app version. A custom code is for print and design: you choose the colors and dot style, add your logo and a frame, and download a high-resolution PNG, SVG or PDF for a poster, badge or packaging. With a dynamic code (made in the URL QR code generator) you can also change where it points later and see how many people scanned.
Where to use an X (Twitter) QR code
Conference badges and slides, event posters and stands, shop windows and counters, business cards, merch and stickers, packaging inserts, and podcast or video end screens. Give people a reason to scan, such as “Follow for live updates” or “Join the conversation”. Print it at least 2 cm (0.8 in) wide on cards and stickers, and larger for posters.
Can I link to a post or a list?
Yes. Copy the link from the post's share menu and paste the whole link into the handle field; Capy QR uses a full link as-is. For a campaign or event where the post changes, make a dynamic code in the URL QR code generator (free account) so you can update the destination without reprinting.
How it works
- 1
Type your X handle
Enter your handle, the part after the @ (not your display name). X is already selected, and the code points to x.com/yourhandle. To link a post, paste its full link instead.
- 2
Style the code
Keep classic black on white or switch to your brand colors, choose a dot style, and add your logo and a “Scan me” label. Keep strong contrast between the dots and the background.
- 3
Download and test
Export SVG or PDF for print and PNG for screens. Scan it with your phone's camera to check it opens your profile before you print.
