vCard QR codes encode a full contact card — first and last name, organization, title, phone, email, address, and website — using the standard vCard 3.0 format. Phones recognize the QR as a contact and offer to add it directly. No app, no profile, no follow-up. Capy QR generates everything in your browser, so the contact details stay on your device.

How it works

  1. 1

    Fill in your contact details

Enter the fields you want saved — name, organization, title, phone, email, website, and address. Leave anything blank that you don't want included.

  2. 2

Style it to match your brand

Pick brand colors or a gradient, drop in a logo, choose dot style, and add a 'Scan me' frame label. Capy QR keeps the QR scannable as you go.

  3. 3

Download in the format you need

Export as PNG, JPEG, SVG, or PDF at up to 3,200 pixels. No signup, no watermark, no limit on downloads.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a digital business card?
Yes. A vCard QR is one of the simplest forms of digital business card — when scanned, modern phones offer to save the contact directly. No account, no app, no third-party profile page.
What information should I include?
At minimum: name, role, and one contact method (phone or email). Adding company, website, and address makes the saved contact richer. Skip fields you'd rather not share — empty fields are simply omitted.
Can I add a logo?
Yes. Upload a PNG, JPG, or SVG and Capy QR will auto-extract dominant colors and bump the error-correction level so the QR stays readable.
Will scanning open a profile page?
No. Unlike services that link to a hosted profile (Linq, Popl, HiHello), a vCard QR contains the contact data itself. The other person's phone offers to add it to contacts immediately.
How big should it be on a business card?
A 2 cm × 2 cm vCard QR is reliable on a printed card. Don't go below 1.5 cm. Pair it with a frame label like 'Scan me' so the function is obvious.
Can I update it after printing?
Static vCard QRs (what Capy QR generates today) cannot be edited after printing — the data lives inside the image. Dynamic vCard QRs are on our Pro roadmap.
