An Instagram QR code opens your profile in one scan, so people follow you without searching for your handle. This page opens the editor with Instagram already selected: type your username (without the @) and the code points to instagram.com/yourhandle. You can also paste the full link to a post or reel and the code opens that instead. Style it in Instagram-style purple and pink or your own brand colors, add your logo, and download PNG or SVG for print.
- Instagram preselected — just type your username
- Paste a post or reel link to open that instead of your profile
- Purple–pink gradient, your brand colors, your logo
- Print-ready PNG, SVG, JPEG or PDF — free, no watermark
- Optional dynamic QR (free account): change the link and count scans
Instagram's own QR code vs a custom one
The Instagram app can show a QR code for your profile from the share-profile option, which is handy for showing someone your phone. A custom code is for print and design: you choose the colors and dot style, add your logo and a frame, and download a high-resolution PNG, SVG or PDF that fits your poster, menu or packaging. With a dynamic code you can also change where it points later and count scans.
How to find your Instagram profile link
Your profile link is instagram.com/ followed by your username, so in most cases typing the username is enough. To be sure, open your profile in the app, use the share-profile option and copy the link, or open your profile in a browser and copy the address. Changed your username recently? Old printed codes keep pointing to the old handle, so set your final username before printing — or use a dynamic code you can update.
Where to use an Instagram QR code
Shop windows and counters, restaurant table tents and menus, product packaging and thank-you cards, event posters, business cards, and the last slide of a talk. Give people a reason to scan — “Follow for daily specials” or “See the full collection” works better than a bare code. For printed cards and stickers, keep it at least 2 cm (0.8 in) wide; for posters, larger.
Can I link to a post, reel or highlight?
Yes. Copy the link from the post or reel's share menu and paste the whole link into the username field — Capy QR uses a full link as-is. For a campaign you'll change often, make it a dynamic code with a free account, so you can swap the post the code points to without reprinting.
How it works
- 1
Type your Instagram username
Enter your handle without the @ — Instagram is already selected. To link a post or reel, paste its full link instead.
- 2
Style the code
Keep the purple–pink gradient or switch to your brand colors, choose a dot style, and add your logo and a “Scan me” label.
- 3
Download and test
Export SVG or PDF for print and PNG for screens. Scan it with your phone to check it opens the right profile before you print.
