About Capy QR
A small tool for making QR codes that don't look like an afterthought.
Most QR code generators force you to either pick from three boring black-and-white styles or hand over an email address before you can download anything. Capy QR was built because that's a silly state of affairs.
What it does
Capy QR turns any URL, contact, Wi-Fi network, payment link, or one of nine other content types into a QR code you'd actually be happy to print on a sticker, hang in a shop window, or stick on a business card. Custom colors, gradients, logo, dot styles, frame borders — and downloads in PNG, JPEG, SVG, or PDF up to 3200 px.
What it costs
Nothing. The free tier is unlimited and stays that way. We're working on a Pro tier for people who want to save a library of QR codes, edit destinations after printing (dynamic QR), and see scan analytics — but the core "make a QR code that looks good and download it" workflow will always be free.
How it works (under the hood)
Everything happens in your browser. The QR rendering, the logo color extraction, the export to PNG/JPEG/SVG/PDF — all of it runs locally on your device. The data inside your QR codes never gets uploaded to our servers, because we don't need it.
Who's behind it
A small team of designers and engineers who got tired of using ugly QR codes. Have feedback? Get in touch on the contact page.
