Calendar event QRs encode a vCalendar/iCalendar event — title, location, start time, end time, description. Scanning offers a one-tap add to Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook, or any other default calendar app. Useful for printed invitations, conference programs, restaurant 'next event' signage, and anywhere a date should land in someone's calendar without typing.

How it works

  1. 1

    Enter event details

Title, venue or address, start and end times. Add a description if you want event details to land in the calendar entry too.

  2. 2

    Style the QR

Brand colors, logo, 'Add to calendar' frame label. Capy QR keeps the scan reliable.

  3. 3

Download in the format you need

Export as PNG, JPEG, SVG, or PDF at up to 3,200 pixels. No signup, no watermark, no limit on downloads.

Frequently asked questions

Which calendar app opens?
Whichever is set as the user's default — Apple Calendar on iOS, Google Calendar or Samsung Calendar on Android, Outlook on Windows. The QR is platform-neutral.
Are time zones handled?
Yes. Capy QR encodes the event in the local time zone you specify. The receiving calendar app converts to the user's zone if they're somewhere else.
Can I encode a recurring event?
Not in the basic QR format. For recurring events, link to a hosted .ics file URL using a URL QR — that file can describe full recurrence rules.
What if my event details change?
A static event QR cannot be updated after print. If you might change the time or venue, encode a URL to a hosted .ics file you control and update the file instead of the QR.
